Rafael Gonzalez is the Vice President of the Alameda County Building Trades Council. He has been a proud member of LIUNA local 304 since 1990. He worked out in the field for 20 years for a variety of construction companies, the longest stint being with his most recent employer, Mountain Cascade Inc, where he spent 14 years. While at there, he started as a general laborer and moved his way up from Lead Man, to Foreman, to Safety Compliance Officer. Regardless of his position or title, he never forgot his roots as a laborer, attending as many meetings as possible and always making sure the safety and well- being of his fellow laborers was primary. For the last 10 years, he has been serving LIUNA Local 304 as President and Field Representative.
